Years ago a local college band was playing at a football game.


The band was instructed to start when then cannon was fired. Well, the cannon was near the Drum Major (baton, tall hat and all). Cannon goes boom, knocks out the Drum Major and the band starts playing. Drum Major was laid out.

The ref who told me this story was umping a baseball game when he told me. I was playing 1st base. He had to call time because we were both laughing so hard.
